Not far away from the most suggestive natural reserves of the Ionic coast, dipped in one oasis of citrus plantation and age-old olive trees Sant'Alfano farm is at 500 metres on the sea level. Its peculiar position allows to admire the wonderful coast from Augusta to Avola and offers a prospective view of Siracusa harbour. The farm has one area organized for the campers too. Its extension is 14 hectares. We cultivate olives, carobs, wheat, citrus fruit and we produce in a biological way peppers, aubergines, tomatoes, pumpkins and other vegetables. Moreover, we rear goats, rabbits, pigs and there are one hen house and some stables. We sell directly carobs and olives.

The farm is easily reachable from Siracusa forwarding to Canicattini Bagni.

The guests are received in a building of a peculiar architectural value. The building is dated the beginning of '700 and has been renovated in the '80s. The rooms (single or double) are 10 for a total amount of 17 beds, all of them with typical furniture and without architectural barriers, provided with heater and private bathroom. The farm has a comfortable common room available for the guests. Open all the year, the minimum stay if one night.

In the farm you can play tennis, soccer and bowls. There is a swimming pool for relaxing swim and a horse-riding ground. There is even the possibility to make long cycle-rides by mountain-bike. We organize cuisine and aerobics courses.

The farm offers numerous and tasteful rustic dishes prepared in accordance with the antique culinary traditions of this zone. As firts dish you can taste a delicious pumpkin risotto, green penne, "pasticci" and Sicilian rustico. As second dish aromatized rabbit, peasant chicken, roast of pork, sausages and jelly. In order to finish we offer delicious cakes with nuts, Sicilian cannoli, cassata and chiacchiere.

In about 10 km you can admire the suggestive "Necropolis of Pantalica" and the wonderful natural reserve of "Cava Grande del Cassibile" and the natural reserve of "Pantani di Vendicari" at 25 km. For the lovers of the history and of the art we advice a visit to Siracusa with its rich historic-architectural patrimony, and Noto famous baroque Sicilian centre.
