The building at 12 km from the sea is dipped in the green of the citrus plantation and age-old olive trees. The farm (about 7 hectares) is on a hill and is the ideal place where you can spend a pleasant holiday with the possibility to make interesting walk tours, even by horse, in order to discover the numerous archaeological ruins, deaf witnesses of old civilitazions that alternated in this zone during the centuries. We sell good extra vergine olive oil, honey and wine of our production.

The farm is reachable going along the state road Floridia-Solarino. The nearest train station is Siracusa at 12 km and the Fontanarossa (Catania) airport is just 40 km far away.

"Don Mauro" farm is a typical rural building, completly renovated in 1998, without architectural barriers and provided with heater. In order to put up the guests the farm has four confortable rooms, with typical furniture, for a total amount of 10 beds. "Don Mauro" is open all the year and the minimum duration of the holiday is three days.

The place where the farm is located is ideal for whom love make long walks in the Mediterranean bush which grows thriving in the zone. We rear horses and in the neighbourhood, just 500 metres, is possible to make horse-trakking in the wood of the near natural reserve.

Just 8 km and you can find the natural reserve of Valle dell' Anapo, among woods of poplars, willow and elms. In 20 km you can visit the suggestive necropolis named Pantalica, with its graves excavated in the rock. You can not avoid to visit the enchanting Siracusa (just 12 km) rich of history, culture and treasures, the elegant Ortigia island, the wonderful archaeological park where there is the antique Greek theatre, Cordari's cave and Dionisio's ear.
