The Place:

At the extreme South of Sicily there is Villa Teresa. The countryside alternates green pastures with expanses of carobs which slope toward the sea and are delimited by means of traditional dry little walls. Bulgifezza is located near the chief town at 350 metres on the sea level and has a mild climate, thanks to its flat fields become one of the most desidered property in the neighbourhood.

How to get the place:

Coming from Siracusa, going long the S.S. 115 after Rosolini you start going downhill toward the Ibleo tableplane and you run into the first feoff of the Midica county, specifically the biggest one: Bulgifezza.

Hospitaly:

The farm is operative and wisly painstaking. From the characteristic "beam" floored with hard limestone you can arrive to the buildings with sober furniture and provided with all the modern comforts. All the buildings have covered verandas which overlook the meadow of the chararcteristic "kiusa", private fenced garden, ideal stay for both children and grown up. The total accomodation is 20 beds in double, triple and quadruple rooms. The peculiar aspect of this habitat is the absolute and relaxing quietness. The guest can believe to stay in "vacation" as it was meant at the end of 800 since we saved the same atmosphere, making no changes in the environment. The farm is open all the year and the minimum duration to enjoy the marvels of this place is three days.

Sport:

At Villa Teresa you have the possibility to spend the whole day doing nothing lying on the grass at the shadow of the olive trees, during the morning you can go to the beach and during the afternoon you can play table-tennis, billiards or make long cycle-rides. During the evening, sitting in the veranda, you can enjoy the chilliness of the upland.

The kitchen:

The warm Sicilian hospitality is matched with the homely cuisine which offers the fresh pasta with the soft "ravioli", the genuine meat with tastefull vegetables as side dish, pulses, cheese ( as the famous "caciacavallo"), local salami and the delicious "scacce", everything washed down with typical wine of this zone, the most important is Cerasuolo di Vittoria. As dessert you may have the homemade cakes and the water-ice with typical fruit of this place.
