The Site

Set among the Nebrodi Regional Park, the `ll Vignale' homestead stands out surrounded by thick lush vegetation. Beech woods, green pastures and harsh rocky mountains are the major features of this unique and unforgettable landscape. The homestead is over 120 ha, and it is a certified organic farm, producing and selling hazelnuts, olive oil, chestnuts, walnuts and mushrooms. `ll Vignale' is the ideal getaway for those wishing to relax and be at one with fresh air and nature in this wild and ting place, not forgetting fun and entertainment.
How to Get There:


By car, from A20 Messina-Palermo highway, exit at the Rocca di Caprileone junction, follow signs to Longi, then to "contrada Pado". From the junction you can also take the express way for Galati Marina and follow signs to Longi, then to Pado. The homestead is 25 km from Sant'Agata di Militello railway station.

Accomodation:


Guests are accommodated in a local style building of the early 1900s. The homestead is about 1000 m a.s.l., surrounded by lush vegetation, and it is a cool respite from the hot sunny days on the golden beaches of theTyrrhenian sea. There are 4 comfortable rooms available, a total of 8 beds, all having the use of a kitchen and central heating A lounge is available for guests.
Sport & Activities:


Tennis and volleyball courts are 2 km away, and a swimming pool with facilities is 4 km away. For mountain enthusiasts mountain climbing is possible nearby. The homestead organises long guided excursions through the woodlands of the Nebrodi Regional Park, either on foot or horseback, in search of numerous species of wild animals and rare plants.

What to See:

On June 24, at Alcara Li Fusi, 4 km from the homestead, is the recommended `festa dei muccuni' festival. An absolute must is the Grotta del Lauro cave and the Cascate del Catafurco waterfalls. Also nearby the Stretta di Longi canyon and the Rocche del Cresto rocks, and lots of other delightful nooks and crannies to discover. The beach in Rocca di Caprileone is just 20 km away while it does not take long to reach the Aeolian Islands from nearby Capo d'Orlando.
