`Villa Padura', an ancient manor house sunk deep in the heart
of splendid grounds, 900 m as.l., is found in Castellana Sicula.
The panoramic Madoniewoods make the backdrop. The farm produces
organic vegetables, table olives, oil and cereals. `Villa Padura'
offers one the chance both to enjoy a farm holiday and to experience
village life in the mountains in Castellana Sicula.

A horse riding centre run by horse lovers is nearby.
Excellent tennis clay courts are also within the vicinity.
Donna Antonella introduces you through a selection
of local mountain cooking, from home made pasta with ragout sauce
or vegetables, various soups, mixed grilled meats, roast lamb and
veal, to 'panzerotti' stuffed with sweet ricotta, superb coffee
jellies and home made jam pies.
The scenery in the Madonie Mountains is wonderful
and worth visiting are: the Parco, with its natural beauty and the
splendid villages of Polizzi Generosa, 4 km away; Petralia Soprana
and Petralia Sottana, 8 km, Gangi and Geraci Siculo, 25 km. People
here are as nice as the churches, squares and noble palaces. The
folkloristic festival of the `ballo della cordella' dance, the festival
of the ear of corn and the `Giostra dei Ventimiglia' are the most
interesting events not to be missed in August.
