The `Pizzolungo' homestead is at the foot of mount Erice, in the
extreme west of Sicily, amongst Mediterranean maquis and forest
trees. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside
without giving up the pleasure of going to the sea, only 50 m
away. Olives, grapes, vegetables, citrus fruits and other fruits
are organically cultivated in over 80 ha of land. Guests can buy
grapes, olive oil, wheat, citrus fruits and fruit in season. Courtyard
animals are raised. From the homestead there is a marvellous view
of the Egadi islands and of the suggestive salt works, that run
along the coast from Trapani to Mozia.

By car, at the end of A29 Palermo-Trapani highway
follow signs to the coast road to Bonagia, until you see the signs
for the homestead. It is 15 km from Trapani Birgi airport. Trapani
railway/bus station and port are 4 km away.

Guests are put up in a 19`" century villa, tastefully
restored in 1985. There are two apartments, furnished simply yet
comfortably, with heating, sleeping 7 in total. The homestead is
open all year round, minimum stay seven nights. It is a comfortable
and spacious place for guests.

It is possible to go mountain biking along the country
tracks. At the homestead you can play table tennis, do a course
on farming, and children can play in a safe playground. Nearby you
can play tennis or do extreme sports, like hang-gliding. Water sports,
including fishing, are at a stone's throw down at the beach..
The homestead is in an excellent position, near to
all main roads, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.
Segesta, with its majestic temple, thermal baths and marvellous
Greek theatre that stands above the gulf of Castellammare, is only
30 km away. The world famous medieval hamlet of Erice is 13 km away;
the Zingaro Nature Reserve, rich in Mediterranean flora and fauna
and gorgeous inlets, is 40 km, the suggestive islet of Mozia and
Marsala, the world capital of wine, are 25 km. From Trapani it is
possible to reach the Egadi islands in less than an hour.
