Gerace farm is located in the core of Sicily, surrounded of green woods in a luxuriant ever green valley flowered during the Spring when almond trees, which are the dominant cultivation with the olive trees, expand their marvellous flowers. This typical farm in the Sicilian hinterland, with its hills at 600 metres on the sea level, overlooks all the environment with its enchanting landescapes. In the farm (22 hectares) we produce olives, vegetables, wine, almonds in a biological way certified by Ecocert Assotiation. There is also a prickly pears plantation and a pleasant little wood: the ideal place to spend the sultry afternoons of the Summer. Moreover, we rear yard animals. It is possible to buy directly in the farm extra vergine olive oil (II° at the First National Competition for Biological oils "L'orciolo d'oro"), olives in oil and pickles, almonds, prickly pears, eggs, vegetables and fruit. The climate, peculiarly mild, gladden your stay allowing relaxing and wellbeing moments in every period of the year.

From the motorway A 19 Palermo-Catania exit to Enna junction. Reached the top of the hill, at the slopes of the Madonnina, turn in the direction Enna Bassa and from here follow the road markings toward Pergusa. Passed the lake, surrounded by the homonymous autodrome, go straight away as far as Quadrivio Ramata, from here follow the road markings to Barrafranca. The farm is at 7 km from Quadrivio Ramata on the left. The nearest train station is Enna, 22 km far away.

We receive the guests in the near farm called "Il Mandorleto" at 300 metres in the same contrada. The farm has a well organized zone of 1000 squared metres, is dipped in the olives trees and is provided with 5 lay-by for camping (comforts for disabled people included), for a total amount of 20 guests. Not far away there is a typical place where guests can taste delicious and quick sampling, they can also watch the almonds bagging and the oil bottling. The wide and comfortable restoration hall, provided with air conditioned, is suitable for meals even for whom decided not to stay for the night. English and Spanish are spoken. We are open from 15th May until 15th October and the minimum duration of the stay is 2 nights

For the keens of the nature there is the possibility to make long and relaxing cycle-rides through paths of the country in the shadow of the old-aged trees. In the farm you can watch the rural activities or play table-tennis. There is even a park where children can spend their time quietly. In the neighbourhood, for the keens of horse-riding there is a manège well organized, tennis and handball fields, a swimming pool, Pergusa autodrome and the kartodrome. The environment, with the near "Pergusa" lake and the natural green park "Selva Pergusina", is peculiarly idoneus for the bird-watching and the observation of free animals. In the nearest surroundings it is possible to practise trekking, hang gliding.

The farm, for its central position in the island and its perfect connections, is the ideal place for trips and tours in historical, cultural and naturalistic places widespread in Sicily. The farm is part of one antique village, ex-feoff of Gerace, where still today you can find a little churche dated '500. In the church there is a marmorean statue called Madonna del Perpetuo Soccorso attributed to Gagini school. Besides, thanks to the Monuments and Fine Arts Office there are some excavations in order to discover a Roman city of II century A.D. with precious mosaic floors.
